In this sixth post, based on Nick Anderson's book, Focusing Change to Win, we highlight contributions from 1072 Business Leaders. This post gives some of the key findings on how they see change impacting effective and ineffective organizations.  They were asked to distinguish between thriving organizations as opposed to those that just get by - surviving organizations.

The following two charts summarize characteristics identified by survey participants as representative of thriving organizations based on enabling and disabling factors.

No single set of factors or steps will provide the answers to move an organization up the scale.  The book provides 69 questions that need to be assessed at every level of the organization to ensure success.  Leadership through open and honest debate can use the following action step outline to develop their unique organizational strategy.
