Responsibilities:
- Acts as central point of contact for all project activities
- Manages the day-to-day tasks/activities for all resources assigned to project
- Ensures tasks are completed on time
- Identifies roadblocks and/or obstacles and communicates to appropriate management resources
- Alerts Project Owners/Sponsors on actions that can impact project schedule, costs, or quality of deliverable
- Provides necessary information to Directors/Managers and Project Owners/Sponsors to make project relevant decisions (Scope, Technical Solutions, Budget, Schedule)
- Works with vendors, based on requirements from Project Owners/Sponsors, Managers/Directors
- Defines timeline and deliverables
- Manages vendors to meet the deadlines and develop quality deliverables
- Ensure integration and communication across project team and vendors
- Project Plans: Ensures that project plans, including Statement of Work and Project Schedules, are developed, approved and maintained
- Defines requirements and planning deliverables and tasks required to meet those requirements
- Project Budget: Ensures that project budget is developed and revised as needed
- Project Status: Ensures that project communication is regularly occurring between Information Technology, End User Community and Vendors
- Ensures project communication is occurring with management and between IT teams responsible for the project
- Ensures that status reports are filled out completely, accurately, and on a timely basis
- Project Plan: Ensures that project documentation is updated as needed, including scope, schedule and budget
- Change Control: Identifies and communicates all project change requests to appropriate management levels
- Responsible for the assessment of changes to the project from a resource, schedule and budget standpoint
- Takes initiative to proactively identify and mitigate project risks
- Issue Management: Identifies and communicates all project issues to appropriate management levels and ensures that issues are resolved in a timely manner
Desired Qualities:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or other technical areas
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- Significant experience with demonstrated successful delivery may be substituted for education
- Expert level in one or more automated project management tools preferred
- 7 years managing large, multi-disciplinary projects
- 10 years business experience with increasing level of responsibility
- Current PMP certification is preferred
