Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates individual training, group instruction, presentations, demonstrations, and workshops; utilizes the most effective delivery of training, including live, in-person delivery, recorded training, live Web-based training, videoconferencing, etc.
  • Manages learning and development courses as assigned with responsibilities including designing, piloting, scheduling, marketing, reviewing, revising, and assessing training programs
  • Participates in team planning sessions to assess learning and development needs associated with project or client organization requirements; performs thorough research and analysis and effectively supports recommendations by including appropriate supporting documentation
  • Designs appropriate custom training modules and learning solutions that meet business needs and are tied to the competencies, skill development needs, of the project and client firm
  • Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training programs through audits of specific courses and curriculum; establishes relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms
  • Reviews and considers training evaluations and participant feedback; identifies opportunities to improve training curriculum and communicates results and recommendations to instructors, client leadership, or project team as appropriate
  • Utilizes industry-standard training certifications to deliver off-the-shelf training programs, customizing material, as appropriate, to meet audience needs
  • Takes initiative to continuously improve existing training materials and develop new participant and instructor training materials; incorporates training materials, reference guides, handouts, and testing into coursework, as appropriate
  • Utilizes client learning management system where appropriate
  • Utilizes adult learning principles to recognize different learning styles and effectively match curriculum using various learning techniques
  • Assists with training event logistics including classrooms, training materials, travel, and meals when required

 

Required Skills: 

  • Proven training design, development, and delivery experience
  • Speaks in a logical, organized, and concise manner; explains complex concepts clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates solid public speaking skills by presenting clearly, concisely, and effectively to groups, with appropriate planning and preparation of content
  • Ability to work independently to deliver results, working in a small team and startup training environment
  • Ability to excel in complex and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; willingness and ability to be hands-on with all steps, including logistics, of the training process
  • Organizes and prioritizes multiple tasks and programs and completes them under time constraints
  • Exhibits excellent communication and influencing skills and demonstrates listening and judgment when interacting with others
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times
  • Exhibits strong coaching and professional development skills and utilizes collaboration and teamwork

 

Desired Qualities: 

  • Bachelor's degree or extensive experience in similar positions
  • 5+ years of training development and delivery experience in a corporate or project setting
